Battery Operated Indoor Motion Sensor Ceiling Light

Installed it in a cupboard under the stairs and it’s made finding things so much easier. The fact it comes on automatically is a real bonus when your hands are full. Dead simple to fit and feels sturdy despite being so lightweight.

I put this in the loft where we’ve never had power, and the PIR sensor picks up movement straight away. The light output is much stronger than I expected for a battery unit. Nice compact design as well, so it doesn’t get in the way of storage.

A nice touch is the ability to switch between warm white and cool white modes, allowing for some flexibility depending on your preference or the time of day. Personally, I find the cool white mode perfect for task lighting, while the warm mode creates a softer, more relaxed ambiance.

We needed a reliable light for our porch to make it easier to see at night—especially when unlocking the interior door. We chose the 80 LED Battery Operated Motion Sensor Ceiling Light, and it's proven to be absolutely perfect for the job.
The motion sensor is highly responsive, detecting movement quickly and accurately. The brightness level is excellent, providing a crisp white light that we find much better than the softer yellow tones. It’s bright enough to clearly illuminate the space, but not so intense that it feels harsh—just right.

My only initial concern was battery life, but since the light only activates at night, it’s designed to be very energy efficient. Although we've only had it installed for about a week, I’m confident it will last a long time with typical night-time use. The daylight sensor works flawlessly, ensuring the light doesn’t turn on during the day.

We installed this light in our pantry, which—oddly enough—had no built-in lighting. Initially, we tried using some small puck lights, but they didn’t perform well at all. After searching extensively, we found this motion sensor light, which had plenty of positive feedback, so we decided to give it a try.

Overall, it’s good but not outstanding. The brightness is roughly comparable to a 7W LED or a 35W traditional bulb, so while it’s not extremely bright, it’s sufficient for our needs. It illuminates the pantry well enough to easily find what we’re looking for, though it’s not bright enough to comfortably read a book.

The light uses 4 D-size batteries, and although they weren't included, I’m hopeful they’ll last a few months. So far, we’ve used it for less than 2 hours total, so time will tell. All in all, it's a decent solution for spaces without wired lighting.
